Any ideas what this month's update will have?
Pretty much sums it up. I've not seen anything on an update, and I think Wintersday decor is still up even...

If they do, they can't tell you. Considering it was X-Mas and New Years, I'm gonna guess it's gonna be a small update with probably just the xunlai rewards & skill balance and nothing super fancy.

It's probably a skill balance, tourney reward pts, and a few bug fixes.

- Snowball tourneys removed. Expect them back next year in no improved fashion. Or, in other words, don't expect changes to Yellow Snow or Avalanche.
- Wintersday decorations removed. Duh.
- New tonic. Duh.
- RoJ nerf.
I'm not going to make any other guesses or predictions, because I doubt that they worked too much on it over the holiday.

If Palm Strike, Lingering Curses and Mark of Insecurity r all left untouched there might be riots.

I doubt anything more than superficial nerfs to Mark of Insecurity, Palm Strike, and (very doubtful but maybe) Lingering Curse, I doubt any serious hero AI fixes except for maybe acknowledging Ray of Judgment as DTAoE, I doubt an everlasting tonic that isn't dumb looking, and I surely doubt anything to make the relevant weekend (arenas) not suck.
Expect a sucky update.

All I really want is to see nerfs to Palm Strike and MoI. Lingering would be nice to see too, as well as an adjustment on how heroes use interrupts and weapon spells, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Palm will get a nerf for sure. But is there any member of secret balance forums? So we can know more.

I've heard about a lingering nerf also, something along the lines of making the -3 degen breakpoint at 13 curses, i expect palm strike will get a hit.
I would hope that Primal Rage gets hit, its pretty insane and makes even the the most braindead bulls strike-missing warriors dangerous.
With lingering curse on the chopping board it'll certainly shake up the MaT since the Me/N is the only thing keeping all the bad euro guilds in contention for the MaT.

Why peace and harmony should be nerfed? It's not that good.

Not sure, but Regina seems to have said in December that it'd be sort-of fancy (I repeat, not sure, these words are vague):

Probably not gonna happen, rawr doesn't lose to Me/N so it's not a problem.

Could definitely use some toning down, not gonna happen this update however.

At this rate it looks like the only thing that will get nerfed is Palm Strike (coincidentally the only thing rawr lost to last mAT, no implications here, just saying..)

What Mitch said, really. From past updates, you can clearly see a certain trent, which for the sake of not turning it into a flame fest, which is all GvG'ers do anyways, I won't mention here.
Only Palm strike will get nerfed. Other than that, minor tweaks to some skills. Don't expect anything game breaking, Izzy is lazy, remember? People have to poke his fat ass for months, just so we can get 10-20 elite skills updated, and even then, it's a shabby job. Don't get your hopes up, esp. not if you're HA-focused (Such as me). Instead, hope we ATLEAST GET an update.
"Due to the sever freezing over the past few days, one of our servers (hard drive) somehow managed to freeze. This happened to be the server which had the update for tomorrow/today, sorry, better luck next time" - Izzy, Possible scenario '09

Palm strike nerfed will be enough for the time being imho, but I hope there will be more tweaks

Damn i forgot about that.
Lingering curse is perfectly balanced because when you run a build with excessive party healing and hex removals its not a problem.

I too want some fixes on how heroes interrupt. Their miss rate is 30-50% in a match, I hope they make them ignore 1/4 casts so they won't miss so much.
Lingering = no. Pressure builds, else it's all back to rawr-spike.
Palm Strike = slight recharge increase.
No nerf for MoI, but change it so Patient Spirit and others count as they existed, so heal effect goes through.

I find nerfing hero AI a very difficult one, most people don't want to see them in PvP in the first place, so why not just remove them instead of ruining them? Keeps the HB/PvE crowd a lot happier as well.
